Missouri Energy Summit - April 22-23 - University of Missouri Columbia

The summit will showcase cutting-edge research and development efforts in energy, alternative fuel sources, storage, infrastructure and other enabling technologies across the state of Missouri with the purpose of fostering enhanced collaboration in public and private sectors, enabling economic workforce development, and transition to commercialization. Legislation

MO Energy Efficiency Legislation - Comm. Substitutes for SB 376 and HB 882 are both out of committee with compromise language for utilities, enviro groups, and consumer groups. This legislation will allow utilities to earn the same profit on energy efficiency investments as they now do with new generation.

MO Nuclear enabling bill - repeal of CWIP - Construction Work in Progress. SB 228 is being debated in the senate. This bill would allow utilities to transfer the financial risk if building Nuclear plants to ratepayers.

MO Green Sales Tax Holiday - April 19-25
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Missouri residents will be able to save money on energy-efficient appliances next month during the state's first Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.The holiday, which runs from April 19-25, will mean a savings of at least 4.225 percent to people who purchase new Energy Star qualified appliances in Missouri during the holiday. Appliances include:

Clothes washers

Refrigerators

Freezers

Dishwashers

Water heaters

Furnaces

Air conditioners
